My Practice

Dr. Hatzidakis has devoted his entire medical career to the treatment of the shoulder joint. Over time, he has expanded his care team to include additional experts who all collaborate in the care of Denver Shoulder patients. Because they are solely dedicated to the treatment of shoulder injuries, they have the experience, specialized knowledge, and collaboration to help get the best possible care for your injured shoulder.

My care team and I see over 2000 patients each year and I have performed almost 8000 shoulder procedures over the past 20 years.

I specialize in all shoulder procedures including:

  • Arthroscopic (“scope”) rotator cuff surgery
  • Arthroscopic shoulder instability surgery and open Latarjet procedure
  • Shoulder replacement surgery, including anatomic and reversed shoulder replacement
  • Shoulder fracture surgery, including minimally invasive treatments

In addition to seeing patients, Dr. Hatzidakis has published multiple academic studies on shoulder care, participates in the development of innovations in shoulder surgery technology, and collects and reports his own shoulder surgical outcomes.

“I think that being a subspecialist and treating the shoulder injuries day in and day out translates to be best possible outcomes for my patients. However, instead of assuming my outcomes are elite, my clinical team and I document how all patients are doing after their shoulder surgery.”

“From the simplest of arthroscopic rotator cuff repair surgeries and instability surgeries to more complicated shoulder replacement surgeries, we found that most of our patients do return to the activities that they wish to perform at six months to a year after surgery. I’m pleased to say that over 90% of my patients are extremely satisfied in all relevant domains after their shoulder surgery.”

“As the leader of my shoulder team, my goal is to give patients the best information about what to do with their painful shoulder, whether that’s conservative treatment, alternative measures of treatment, or surgery.”

Our team looks forward to meeting you in our office.

I'm pleased to say that over 90% of my patients are extremely satisfied in all relevant domains after their shoulder surgery.
